Dear neighbors,
My wife, Jenny, and I are graduates of public schools - and today we're raising a seventh grader in Palo Alto's public schools. I want that same diverse, multi-faceted experience that we had for her, and every student in our district.
Palo Alto sits at the heart of Silicon Valley, with extraordinary resources, great families, and great teachers. What we need now is the governance to match. My career has been about leading multi-national and multi-cultural teams through complex, changing times. I intend to bring that same rigor and care to the Board.
I come from a family of educators, judges and journalists. When I saw how unnecessarily hard our system can be for families to navigate, I got involved - as a parent advocate and VP of Communications for the Greene PTA. Now I'm asking to serve on the school board to build more transparent and collaborative schools.
